Lovely review of Dandelions at The Music Fix

Click HERE for a review by Colin Polonowski at The Digital Fix/The Music Fix.

“Delicate and subtle, her voice has a more interesting edge that gives the disc a deliciously quirky edge and the autobiographical nature of the tracks here give the music a real heart.”

Publishing with Full Thought & BBC Cambs interview

I had a great time on Sue Marchant’s Big Night in on BBC Radio Cambridgeshire last night. Click HERE to see some photos.

I’m also delighted to announce that I now have a publishing deal with Full Thought.

Vinyl at Etch Shop + Hove gig coming up

My limited edition Dandelions vinyl is now being sold at Etch Shop, a wonderful online store from the Tru Thoughts crew.

I’m very much looking forward to playing with my band on Sunday June 5th at The Brunswick again in Hove, the town where I grew up. Sara Mitra will be playing a solo set prior to my sets and she’ll also be doing backing vocals for me – a real treat! Please visit the gigs page for further details.

Sold out launch gig – happy girl

I’m still buzzing from last night’s Dandelions launch gig at The Forge in Camden. It’s a gorgeous venue and we had a fabulous time. Having a string quartet and a double horn section was a real luxury and I’m determind to do another gig like that again soon! I can’t stop smiling.

Thank you to Apple of My Eye for a great support set and to Sara Mitra, James Allsopp, Fulvio Sigurta, Ivo Neame, Riaan Vosloo, Tim Giles, Kit Massey, Emily Pringle, Louise Parker and Adam Spiers for playing so beautifully.

Thanks also to all my friends, family and new faces who came and supported and for all your lovely comments afterwards and today!

Love

Kaz xx

Dandelions is now released!

The day has finally arrived. After two years from recording the demos, the months of recording in various locations, to the vinyl and CD pressings, to now. Wow!

My third album, Dandelions is a  mainly autobiographical album of songs I’ve written over the last few years so it’s a real ‘me’ album. Riaan Vosloo has written some gorgeous and quirky instrumental arrangements over my guitar and vocal parts and co-produced along with Nostalgia 77′s very talented Benedic Lamdin. Some wonderful musicians are on the album including Ivo Neame, James Allsopp, Sam Crockatt, Fulvio Sigurta, Simon Thorpe, Riaan Vosloo,  Dave Smith and Tim Giles, as well as a string quartet. I’m very proud of it and have been told along the way, that it’s hard to categorise. There are jazz elements in there of course, pop, folk, Spanish and Brazilian guitar styles and lots of pretty bits – thanks Riaan!

It is available worldwide on Amazon, HMV and iTunes and don’t forget the limited edition pressing of Vinyl which sounds gorgeous. I’ve been told that vinyl will outlive CDs. We shall see….!

I welcome your comments and if you would like to know the stories about any of the tunes, please feel free to give me a shout!

Enjoy, love Kaz x

Jamie Cullum plays Dandelion Song on his BBC Radio 2 show

I’m very excited that Jamie Cullum played The Dandelion Song on his BBC Radio 2 show last night.

You can listen to the show here for a week HERE about 13 mins in, but don’t just listen to me – there are some amazing tracks from the likes of Hugh Laurie and Gregory Porter.
